Surgery and Recovery
In a face or neck liposuction procedure, a small incision is made to allow for the insertion of the cannula, a tube used by the surgeon to gently suck up fat in a controlled manner. This incision is made in inconspicuous location so that the resulting scar will not be noticeable. Dr. Marin inserts the cannula and positions it to remove a small amount of fat from the treatment area.
The recovery time after face or neck liposuction procedure at our Dallas-Fort Worth practice is short relative to that of other cosmetic procedures. While there may be some initial bruising and swelling a few days after the surgery, patients can usually return to work within about a week.
