A native of Dallas, Dr. C. Spencer Cochran was chosen by Dr. Gunter to join the practice in July 2006. Like Dr. Gunter, Dr. Cochran shares a passion for Rhinoplasty surgery and has spent the last decade focusing on the intricate anatomy of the nose.

Dr. Gunter states that “…we feel very fortunate to have Dr. Cochran join us at the Gunter Center For Aesthetics and Cosmetic Surgery. We first met Dr. Cochran during his residency when he completed a preceptorship with us studying the art of Rhinoplasty. It was apparent at that time that he was a rising star in the field of nasal surgery. In addition to rhinoplasty, Dr. Cochran adds another dimension to our team by bringing an expertise in functional endoscopic sinus surgery and a special interest in correcting nasal airway obstruction to the practice.”

Dr. Cochran received his medical degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio, where he graduated with honors. During his surgical training, he served as Chief Resident of the Department of Otolaryngology - Head & Neck Surgery at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas where he currently serves as a Clinical Assistant Professor.

As an accomplished author, Dr. Cochran has received recognition for both his clinical and scientific research. His work has been presented at national and international meetings and published in numerous journals including Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, Archives of Facial Plastic Surgery, and Facial Plastic Surgery Clinics of North America. Dr. Cochran is also a contributing author to Dallas Rhinoplasty: Surgery by the Masters, 2nd Ed. This book is fast becoming the standard for rhinoplasty texts.

Dr. Cochran’s area of interest and expertise is aesthetic and reconstructive nasal surgery. His focused background and education have allowed him to become a highly skilled nasal specialist. During an in-person consultation, Dr. Cochran will extensively evaluate the patient’s nose and design a specific surgery plan that addresses the patient’s goals and desires. He recognizes the individuality of each person and works closely with the patient to achieve the optimal surgical experience.
