This surgery can restore the skin around your eyes to its natural, youthful appearance and drastically reduce the signs of aging. First, an incision is made along the lid of the upper or lower eyelid; then, excess fat, muscle, and skin are trimmed away from the eyelid. The end result is years taken off your face and, because incisions are often made within the eyelid, or along the dip of smile wrinkles, virtually no scarring is detectable.
Blepharoplasty may be performed alone or in
conjunction with a browlift or forehead lift for
a more dramatic effect. Potential blepharoplasty
patients are advised that eyelid surgery does
not affect the color of darkened pouches of skin
under the eyes. To lighten dark areas under the
eyes, eyelid surgery is combined with skin rejuvenation
procedures such as Microdermabrasion. To learn

During Endoscopic Forehead Lift (usually chosen
by younger patients who are just developing brow
wrinkles), an endoscope is inserted below the
skin. The skin and underlying muscles are lifted
and tightened. The brow will heal in the new position.
This procedure, and similar ones,
are popular in our office because they offer the
benefit of refreshing the face, but are relatively
unobtrusive.

This procedure involves lifting the lower 2/3 of the face and usually the neck. Underlying muscles are tightened and excess skin is cut away. The Facial plastic surgeon may also use Liposuction to remove fatty pouches under the skin. A full facelift is often done in conjunction with a brow lift and/or a blepharoplasty.
Because this is an intensive facial plastic surgery procedure, patients must arrange adequate time for healing and be prepared for some initial discomfort. The results of a Facelift will be apparent once swelling and bruising has subsided (normally after a couple of weeks). The younger look created by a facelift will last for years, but normal aging of the skin will continue. For a total rejuvenation of the face many cosmetic surgery patients begin a regular skin care program including Microdermabrasion or chemical peel, and regular skin conditioning. Contact our office for more information about this surgery.

Chin and jowl implants can strengthen a person's jaw and can bring balance and harmony to the face, while cheek implants can bring definition and improved facial contour. Facial implants are made from synthetic materials, such as Goretex and semi-solid silicone; grafts made from your own tissues can also be used for the same purposes. Often a chin implant will be inserted when rhinoplasty is performed. Chin implants can balance the face and create a well-structured, symmetrical look for patients.

A Forehead lift can take years--even a decade--off our faces by tightening and lifting the skin on our foreheads, thereby eliminating wrinkles and expression lines. Discreet incisions are made in the scalp and skin is raised and redraped. For bald patients or patients with receding hairlines, the incisions may be made along the natural lines of the skull.

Cheek augmentation surgery can be used to raise the
cheekbones, giving definition to flat cheeks.
Cheek implants, also called Malar implants, can
make the two sides of the face more symmetrical.
It normally takes less than forty-five minutes
for a surgeon to insert cheek implants.
The implants are placed from inside of the cheek
(through the mouth) or through an incision in
the lower eyelid. Such discreet incisions leave
no visible scarring.

implants or other facial implants, contact

Chin Augmentation
This is the surgical contouring of a receding chin. An implant, inserted through an incision under the chin, can alter the shape of the chin, making it appear stronger or more suitable to the patient's face. This procedure is often performed at the same time as rhinoplasty to add better balance to facial features.

This procedure involves the tightening of skin,
underlying muscles, and tissues of the cheeks
and lower eyelids to decrease cheek folds, raise
the cheek mound and eyelid skin/cheek junction,
and give a more youthful look. The mid-facelift
variation of the traditional facelift requires
less recovery time. To increase the effects of
mid-facelifts many patients use skin care treatments
such as microdermabrasion and skin peel. For further
information on a mid-facelift or traditional facelift,

Correcting Protruding
Ear (Otoplasty)
Ear pinning(Otoplasty) is a surgical procedure that can change the size and shape of a person's ears. The procedure is most commonly performed between the ages of 5 and 14, but it can be performed on adults as well. First, an incision is made behind the ear, and then excess cartilage is removed. Remaining cartilage is sutured-or pinned-into place and left to heal.
