Dr. Gunter to Present Latest Revision Rhinoplasty Techniques in Japan
On October 17-18, Dr. Jack P. Gunter will travel to Tokyo to attend the 36th Annual Meeting of the Japan Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (JSAPS). Invited to the two-day conference as a special lecturer, we are excited to announce that Dr. Gunter will present on the “Evolution of a Personal Secondary Rhinoplasty Practice” and discuss his own experience in trying to improve results from a previous rhinoplasty. He will talk about techniques that have shown marked improvement in outcomes for revision rhinoplasty procedures. JSAPS Chairman Otake Naoyuki refers to Dr. Gunter as leading authority of rhinoplasty in the U.S., and has also recognized the extent of his work as a major influence on the concept of rhinoplasty in Japan.
Since 1985, our rhinoplasty surgeon has lectured for both the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ASAPS) and for the American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS), among many other national and international conferences. According to Dr. Gunter, sharing his knowledge and experience at continuing education conferences is something he finds both rewarding and necessary. Dr. Gunter also says that, as it is one of the most complex and artistically intricate cosmetic procedures, it is important for surgeons to practice the most precise and proficient primary rhinoplasty techniques in order to produce outcomes that look natural and do not result in cosmetic asymmetries or breathing difficulties. When such aesthetic and functional symptoms do occur, revision rhinoplasty is often required.
